Show ODESSA A. Elected CULLIMORE 1949 to 1951 Odessa Cullimore probably received more mail than any other woman in Utah in 1976. She was Sta te President of the Utah Mothers Association. Every woman who is nominated for "Mother of the Year" is endorsed members of by groups, individuals, families, letters of organizations and officials. The commendation and approval, the biographies and statistics, all went to Odessa. a It was time consuming public service, but rewarding, and Odessa took it all in stride. charming and gracious. interesting and She was always Odessa was born September 17, 1896 in Lehi, Utah, and received her education there and at BYU from which she graduated in 1940. She taught school in the Nebo District and from 1916 to 1918 filled an LDS Mission. She returned home to marry Dr. Lloyd L. Cullimore. They were parents of fi ve chi ldren: Georgia C. Faux, Karma C. Cull imore Kathl een C. and Anne C. Hughes, Lloyd Jr., Draper, Decker. She was offices acti ve an in numerous member of the LDS Church and hel d numerous organizations. She served in the House of Representatives where she was chair of the Utah State Hospital Committee and a member of the Education, Industrial School and School for the Deaf and Blind, Manufacturing and Commerc, Reference and Traffic Safety committees. She also served on the Sifting committee one year. Rep. Cullimore worked on bills concerning education, the school lunch program and rad improvement. practical nursing, Governor Lee Commission appointed Rep.
