Show GEORGIA BODELL PETERSON Appointed 1969 Elected Georgia to 1970 to 1980 B. Peterson was born in Herriman, Utah, on April 10, 1927, and Elizabeth Bodell. District She attended Jordan Westminster College and the University of Utah. Milton schools, She rna r r i ed Dr. Ted T. Peterson in and 1946, they had three children. Two sons and one Daugher. One son died in infancy. Craig, and· Elizabeth both reside in Salt Lake City. She and Ted have five grandchildren. Georgia was appointed to the House of Representatives by Governor Calvin Rampton in 1969. She then ran successfully for 4 times on her own. She served in Leadership and also on Sifting and Rules Committees. She also served on Transportation and Public Safety, Judiciary and the Executive Appropriations Committees. She was Vice Chair of the Legislative Management Committee and a member of the National Conference of State Legislators, the National Legislative Leaders and the Western of state Conference Conference, Legislators. Georgia also served on the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, the the Governor's Reapportionment Governor's Tax Study Commi t tee, the Law 50-State President's the project; Study Committee; Revision Constitutional the Enforcement Agency; Planning Commission, the Secretary's HEW Regional Committee; and the Interstate Conference for Higher Education.
