Show BEVERLY Elected EVANS 1987 to ... Representative Beverly Evans was born in TOD Park, Tooele County, Utah while her father wa serving in the United states Army on the front lines in Germany. A feature article was written about her in the Salt Lake Tribune because she was born with 3 1/2 inches of black hair and two front teeth. Upon the completion of WWII, her a dry farm near Lamont, Rep. completed the sixth grade. and was the only second grader so the third grade. parents Wilbur and Geraldine Cook, moved to Idaho where she lived until she Evans attended a one room school they promoted her When she two was sisters, to the in eighth grade her homesteaded 120 and turned into a productive parents, Paul, moved to The land farm. and Karen of land. acres Sandy was a brother Gary and Idaho where they taken from sagebrush Whi I e in high school, Evans was invol ved school in many Rep. activities club, debate, including forensics, studentbody pep secretary and president of the Future Teachers of American. Upon graduation from high school, she enrolled in school at Utah State where she in in minored and University majored English Communications and graduated with a teaching certificate. During her years at Utah state University, she was active in many school activities which included being a studentbody officer, president of a sorority, member of the debate team and many other activities. While attending Utah State, she met her husband, Stephen R. Evans from Al tamont, Utah. They were married in the Logan Temple between her junior arid senior year at Utah State. from USU, she career Upon graduation began her professional teaching school at Roosevelt Junior High School for one year before trqnsferring back to Utah state where steve completed his education and she conpleted her Master's Degree. They both taught school at for three before Duchesne High School years transferring to They also ran a dairy farm for seven years before Roosevelt, Utah. to a cattle operation, and Beverly Duchesne School District to the Uintah Basin Applied Technology Center where she has worked for the last 14 Her current assignment is program coordinator where she is years. an administrator over special projects and curriculum development.
