Show eleven years she taught the LOS Seminary for students from Irving Junior High school with the classes being held in the Sugar House Meeting House which was located near the school. For the last six years, she was principal of the seminary. For 1941 Thelma In taught hygiene and personality to 200 girls at Granite High. She directed student teaching at the University of Utah, worked four years in the Woman's Division of the Industrial Commission and for one year was a case worker in the State Welfare Department. On September 26, 1965, at the Granite Stake Conference, Thelma was presented a Certificate of Honor for excellence in teaching and teacher training. It was signed by the Granite Stake Presidency. Gradually her health failed and on September 6, 1968, she left this world where she had been so loved, honored and respected. 103 |
