When she was a small girl her family moved to southern Idaho and was among the early settlers of that area which was not the most hospitable land to be found. Later the family moved to Magna where she became very much aware of the great impact the Kennecott Concentrating Mills had on the life and purse strings of the town and the surrounding country. For many years she was active in the Primary Association of the LOS Church in her ward, then became president of the Oquirrh Stake Primary.
