Show SOPHRONIA NIELSON Elected Sophronia Peter A. COTTRELL 1947 to was born in Draper on Apr_i I and Olivia Jensen Nielson. FORSBERG 1949 22, 1880, the daughter of August 8, 1906 she married George H. Cottrell in the Salt Lake Temple. He died five years later. In 1917 she married Charles E. Forsberg who died in 1934. On During World War t she was chair of the SaLt Lake City Red Cross and Liberty Bond Drives and a charter member of the University of Utah Mothers Club. She was also a member of the Thirty-third Camp, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Republican, she was a membr of the Women's Republican Women's Legislative Council, and the Order of Woman Legislators, being elected president for 1954-55. However, because of ill health and many duties, whe was forced to resign that office in early 1955. An active the Club, She served in the 1947-48 legislature as a member of the House 6f Representatives where she was appointed chair of the Public Health Committee, and was a member of the Education, Public Buildings, Public- Welfare, Revision and Enrolling and University of Utah and Agricultural College Committees.
