Palmer In this quarterly, we pause to thank all of the wonderful people who give so generously to support the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Quite simply, your generosity as members and supporters of the UMFA makes all that we do possible. In the coming months our special exhibitions will be largely focused on images of people-remarkable paintings and sculptures of American Indians in the western landscape will be featured in the forthcoming exhibition Bierstadt to Warhol: American Indians in the West. Haunting images of rural families will be presented in a fascinating exhibition of the American photographer Mike Disfarmer; and our wonderful series of global contemporary art-saltcontinues with salt 7: Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, which features th~ work of the London-based painter whose "portraits" are of people she creates in her imagination. I sincerely hope you, your friends, and your family have many interesting conversations in the UMFA's galleries in the coming months, stimulated by the terrific art in our collections and special exhibitions. The entire UMFA staff aims for excellence and strives to present our community with the very best of the world of art. But we could not do it without your on-going generosity.
