Show news Welcome Kerry O'Grady The UMFA is pleased to announce Kerry O'Grady as the new Director of Public Programs and Educational Services at the UMFA. Kerry will take a leadership role in planning and developing the Museum's integrated educational opportunities and outreach initiatives for the general community, school children, educators, and the University of Utah. Kerry is a trained artist and educator with a strong background in working with university-based arts organizations, and she is an exceptional addition to the UMFA team. Welcome, Kerry! Art Lovers and Bookworms Unite Book Club at the Museum is a new, docent-led community outreach program serving book club groups throughout Utah. Established book clubs are invited to join in the fun by reading a book listed on the UMFA webpage at www.umfa.utah.edu/book club, downloading the online Discussion Guide to facilitate conversation, and then scheduling a special group tour to explore art related to the book. Each featured book is selected by the UMFA Book Club Planning Committee, and current selections include The Madonnas of Leningrad by Debra Dean and Memories of Madam Vigee Lebrun translated by Lionel Strachey, among other works. Book Club at the Museum tours are free with general admission, including a special $3 per person rate for groups of ten or more.
