This is one of our biggest c!as.,ses in the last ten years, I enjoyed meeting with each of the oew docen~ during che Interview process. One cf the s;criking iliings about this group. besides the presen<:e of three men, is the divcn,ce paths people took that led them to our doors. Some of the new docents have or are about to retire ways of incorporating their docent training into their professional !iv¢$, Many people studied art and a.rt history throughout their lives but this is their first oppor- tunity to irmners-e them$elves in their interests. Please join me in extending a warm wekome to these newest members of the UMFA's volunteer a.nd docent progrnrn. We wish all thirteen of you a great }ourney through your training year and beyond, and being part of the UMFA has long been an item on the.ir to~do lis.c.
