Find out the centuries-old diabolical origins of the book's title ·from which Elias spins an intricate tale of a stolen Stradivarius, a cutthroat violin competition, and the murder of the archrival of our unique sleuth, the blind, cantankerous violin teacher, Daniel Jacobus. Elias, former associate concertmaster of the Utah Symphony, will perform highlights from the music described in Devil's Trill on his violin to illuminate the discussion at this special multi-media event. The UMFA is delighted to host this Utah Humanities Council Program. Devil's Trill is the newest addition to the UMFA Book Club's featured book list.
