Show Brigitte Kirk Steering Committe Chair's Holliday Greetings Thank you's and Holiday Greetings for Docents and Staff at UMFA December 2012 Welcome, to our 2012 Holiday Luncheon! We come together at the end of the each year to celebrate and renew our friendships. What binds us together is our love of art and education. Guiding children and adults through the museum has given us the opportunity to see how art can lift the human spirit. For all of this we docents give our time freely. Assisted and trained by a fine staff and directed by the competent Ali Monet Monjar, we docents, in a sense, are given the oportunity to become the face of the museum. We give weekly team tours, and some give additional tours. New docents may not know these people and for this reason I would like to introduce you. (please stand) New Docents in training. Docents who go into the schools, (MIC) and prepare students for museum visits. Docents who do memory tours, bringing art to the aging community. Docents who do adult tours. Docents who do weekend tours. Docents who do book tours. Docents who volunteer for third Saturday and other community events. If you are curious about any of these programs, please, mingle and talk to these people, find out why they love what they do. |
