Stoliczka mentions this species in the collection he got from Penang and Province Wellesley. Hab. Cantor (p. 138) says: " A single individual was observed by Dr. Montgomerie at Singapore in 1863, in whose garden it was turned up with the earth, from about two feet below the surface, and from whom I received the specimen."
