It is with some hesitation that I decline to accept the reference of this and the two following species to Moore's genus Baracus, made by Mr. Watson. The thoroughness of Mr. Watson's work should give great weight to his opinions, but in this case, after a careful examination of typical specimens of C. lepeletierii and its three congeners, which have been placed in Baracus, I am compelled to conclude that the differences are too slight in fact to warrant such a departure from the hitherto received classification of the insects. 162.
