This species differs from my female ft resplendms on both surfaces, the secondaries of the Abyssinian form being crossed from apex to inner margin by a continuous band above, the markings on the under surface being also more regular, those crossing the disc forming a regular zigzag: the female before me corresponds with a male from Balapye, Kama's Country, and is doubtless the true ft hintza; but ft resplendens appears to be a distinct though allied form. 50.
