W e have a nearly allied species in the Museum collection from Old Calabar. 143. MARDARA CURVIVIRGATA. Laella curvivirgata, Karsch, Ent. This species is closely related to m y M. peculiarly from Madagascar, but differs in the fact that the golden-brown band across the primaries runs to the apex instead of to the costal margin. 144. It is of course possible that the sexes of H. norax may be utterly dissimilar in colour and pattern, and that this may prove to be its female : if so, Air.
