Exp. 14 millim. Black, the head, thorax in front, and the basal segment of the abdomen piceous; wings sordid hyaline; legs with glistening fulvous pubescence, the tarsi light testaceous. The head finely and closely punctured, and covered with a thin fulvous pubescence; the clypeus broad, its anterior margin fringed with long fulvous hairs and marked with a few deep coarse punctures, the space above it convex, from which a short perpendicular carina runs up between the base of the antennae; the front of the face subconcave; the ocelli in a broad triangle on the vertex; the antennae piceous, lighter on the scape in front.
