Show m&Mit%M£* TAU KAPPA EPSILON Blue horns and red carnations TKE is a new fraternity on campus which offers pledges a new, young and enthusiastic chapter. Strong points of other groups were used for the basis of their brotherhood to create a new group -- a new way of life. Tau Kappa Epsilon is a socially-oriented fraternity which has as its main objectives campus participation and public service. Opportunities for all types of individuals were offered in 1969-70. At games TKEs could be spotted with their blue horns, announcing the touchdowns. Also finding time for service, TKEs included one project on their sched-u.es each quarter. At. Christmas they took underprivileged children to movies. Spring marked a service day in which the entire national TKE fraternity participated. The Little Sisters of Diana served as the fraternity's representatives in rush activities, service projects and planning TKE parties. Socially, brothers attended a Thanksgiving party, a Valentine party and pajama party, and the elaborate Red Carnation Ball. This year Tau Kappa Epsilon was accepted as a full member of the U of U fraternity system. 17 210 |
