Show KUED No longer "National Educational Television," KUED has assumed the title "Public Television." The twelve year-old station, owned and operated by the University of Utah provides service to the entire state in the form of information on cultural and public affairs. It is also a medium where all legitimate agencies in the state can use the station to their advantage. However, the station cannot be used for propaganda purposes, no matter how worthy the cause. It does provide service to the community that is not being met by the commercial broadcasters., Still, KUED has not abandoned educational television. Aside from the many programs used for classroom work at the university, KUED now has what it calls telecourses that can be viewed in the home for college credit: "Cover-to-Cover," and "Do You Read Me?"
