Show Grinding exceedingly small Organizations Board is the real seat of power in the ASUU political structure, for it controls and authorizes all campus organizations. A disapproving nod from Orgy Board can drive a student group off campus. Organizations Board supervises an Advisory Cabinet made up of representatives from all recognized University groups, and thus commands considerable active as well as passive legalistic support. Programs Board is a center of Activity. While hedged about on all sides, it still manages to conduct and authorize a good portion of the lively aspect of the ASUU. Because it exists in a power vacuum between the Administration and the Exec. Council, Programs Board has some lee-way of action in the fields of student participation and student interest. Considering the difficult material it works with, it manages quite well. Possibly one of the more frustrating portions of the ASUU, Public Affairs Board deals with a mismatched set of community/university interfaces. Primary responsibilities of the Board include the vital Legislative Relations Committee that articulates student thought to the Utah law-makers and the selection of Publications Council members. Minority relations, including the Union Minority Library and a special scholarship fund, complete the roster of Public Affairs' headaches.
