Show ALPHA CHI OMEGA Easter Seals and March of Dimes activate Alpha Chis Within the chapter, Alpha Chis felt a strong bond of loyalty and friendship which came from working, studying, sharing and enjoying fun times. Members from Beta Nu chapter took an active involvement on campus. They served in leadership positions of student government, Freshman cabinet, queen contests, and student religious groups. They represented their sorority in the three military auxiliaries, departmental honoraries and all of the womens' scholastic honoraries. Alpha Chis also excelled in social honors, winning Sigma Chi's Derby Days. Each girl was urged to engage in campus activities which broadened contact with fellow students, and didn't confine friendships to her chapter group. On the national level Alpha Chi's philanthropy project was Easter-seals. Girls donated time to making toys for underprivileged children, stuffing envelopes for the March of Dimes, reading for the blind and providing clothes, food, and gifts for an "adopted" girl from an Indian reservation. 192 |
