The Secretary read the following report on the additions made to the Society's Menagerie during the month of November 1881:- The total number of registered additions to the Society's Menagerie during the month of November was 136, of which 46 were by birth, 36 by presentation, 33 by purchase, 15 were received on deposit, and 6 in exchange. The total number of departures during the same period, by death and removals, was 101. The most remarkable additions during the month of November were as follows:- 1. Forty-six young Nose-horned Vipers {Vipera nasicornis), pro-ced ali ve by a large female of this Serpent acquired on the 1st of |
