Learning Sciences Learning & Cognition EDPS 6970 Graduate Thesis: Master's (minimum 6) Research and work in progress on master's thesis. EDPS 7970 Thesis Research: Dissertation (minimum of 14) Research and work in progress on doctoral dissertation. Instructional Design and Educational Technology EDPS 6750: This is the "capstone course" for the Instructional Design and Educational Technology (IDET) master's degree program. It provides students with the opportunity to apply the full range of skills, tools, and principles learned in previous IDET course work. Students take this course in their final year of the program for the primary purpose of developing a culminating instructional design project. In addition, students compile a portfolio of projects (including the capstone project) that demonstrate the instructional design and technology skills acquired in the program.
