I cannot find any evidence of its occurrence in Eastern Patagonia; and certainly at the Chuput river, lat. 43° S., its place is taken by L. maculipennis. On the Pacific coast it occurs near Callao, one specimen from Chorillos being in my own collection, and another, obtained by M.
