The quality of recreation in great demand today is associated with free-flowing trout streams, opportunities for kayaking and enjoyment of watching and photographing, birds and mammals dependent upon streamside vegetation. A major concern of members of CRCUP, the Sierra Club, the Utah Chapter and National Audubon Societies, the National Wildlife Federation, the Bonneville Chapter and American Fisheries Societies, the Environmental Policy Center, the Environmental Defense Fund, and the Natural Resources Defense Council has been the disruption of the river ecosystems from development of the Central Utah Project.
