Show Lillian Hayes husband, is a U.S.Steel GEologist in Provo, Utah. He attended a water symposium last year ($300 fee) at which water requirements for development of the southwest were discussed. Higginson spoke as well as other top flight "authorities". Lillian gave me the notebook "lectures" and I reproduced the whole dam thing.- without her husband's knowledge. I haven't had time to really examine what all these developers are proposing. Are you interested in reviewing this material? I cannot afford to reproduce the entire notebook for you - however, I could send it for you to look at if this appears to be of any value. "Water Acquisition for Mineral Development", Tucson, March 1978 Oil companies, water lawyers, mining companies, water developers, etc., were present. I am aware of potential "legal" action when the appropriate time comes but agreed not to divulge it, yet. We can't "pry" into this yet, or we'll be left out in the cold. This is just to alert you. Utah is having some March meetings to discuss water issues I don't know anything more about it than this - nor know how involved CRCUP will be able to get..or will see how. My husband will be coming home from the hospital early in March. He is not fully recovered, but has benefited to the extent he can from University Hospitals physical therapy program, We are discussing how I can do "my work" and not upset him with my continual typing and how he can listen to classical music and not upset my need for silence! How's that for trying to work out a 40 year marriage? We are both enormously understanding of the other partners interests - but my total environmental committments strain budgets and more relaxed involvements! How's that for V/omen's Lib! |
