Show Galloway- C 1090 A Ninemile, Utah. Q Where is Ninemile located? A Below the mouth of the white river about twenty- three or twenty- four miles, I would judge. That is at Ouray, Utah. Q Where did you come out of the river on that trip? A Where did we quit? Q Yes. A At Moab on that trip. Q At Moab? A Yes. Q You didn't go below Moab that trip? A No, we went to the junction of the river, then up Grand river to Moab. Q Before I get too far away from it, what was the purpose of the 1924 trip that you spoke of? A We went down in there looking for placer mining more than anything else. Q Did you do some placer mining? A No, we didn't set up a rocker in any place I remember of. Q Panned a little sand, I guess? A That's all. Then we were down in there looking for quartz, down in the cataracts; we have some quartz down there, some carnotite ore we think is going to turn out pretty good. We were mostly interested in that.
