A Not so much; down to Mile -- between Mile 55 and 56, generally have trouble; that is where we got stuck the first trip; always look for trouble there. Q Does the current cross there? A Yes, takes most always two to three small channel there, I would call them, courses in the river. Q From Mile 55 around to Mile 51, did you have any difficulty in that stretch? A Between 53 and 54, had trouble there. Q on what account? A Because the river divides into two channels, and one big rock sets out from the bank there; a great many times the current is going right towards that rock; we have to make our turn there. MR. FARNSWORTH: Does the witness require that map in order to point out difficulties he has encountered? MR. BLACKMAR: I don't know. MR. FARNSWORTH: Doesn't he know the country well enough to tell without looking at that map? THE SPECIAL MASTER: I suppose Mr. Blackmar can refresh his mind from the map.
