Show Galloway- C 1080 swifter water. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q That is the section between Greenriver and the San Rafael you are referring to? A A little below the San Rafael. Q Would you say from the San Rafael, mouth of the San Rafael, down to the mouth of the Green river and from the mouth of the Green river and the Colorado up to Shafer well No. I, these conditions on the rivers -- those sections of the rivers I have referred to with respect to navigation are substantially the same as the condition between Shafer well No, I and Moab? MR. BLACKMAR: I object to it unless he specifies the kind of boats he is talking about. THE SPECIAL MASTER: In the boat he used. A I will say this, there is more water on the Green river; that probably would give a fellow a little better advantage,-- than there is on the Grand river in the fall of the year. The condition of the bed of the river, as I see it, i don't believe there is a great deal of difference. There is more water on the Green river. I expect the navigation up -- I have never tried it-- would be a little easier. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Strike that out. MR. FARNSWORTH: I do not object to that answer. It is not responsive, it is true. 3052 |
