Show Galloway- C 1103 A Yes. As you get on down, it opens up. Q So far as navigation is concerned, substantially the same? A No, I don't think so. Q Well, I don't care to take any time on it. After you get through the last rapid at Cataract canyon you come on what you would term quiet water, more or less, don't you? A There are some rapids even in Glen Canyon. Q We understand that. We have had witnesses about conditions down there. Occasionally there is some water that is more rapid than other; but generally speaking it is substantially the same, isn't it? There are no new streams come in, it is about the same conditions, comparatively quiet water? A I don't hardly know what you would deem quiet water. I'll tell you, as far as going down, from my standpoint -- I don't want to take time with it. I thought I could get a quick answer on it. I don't care to have you to into detail. You said, as I understood your testimony on direct, that from the wash on down to past the state line -- I think you mentioned Lee's Ferry in your answer -- the general con-ditions were similar to those up on the Green, except that there was more water? A Well, there is more water. Q Is that in substance what you wish to say? 3075 |
