Show Baldwin- C 1202 BY MR. FARNSWOTH: Q Mr. Baldwin, while you were testifying as to the difficulties that you had encountered, and the places where you had encountered them, you were looking at sheet -- MR. FARNSWORTH: What do you call this, 18? MR. BLACKMAR: Yes. MR. FARNSWORTH: Q -- sheets 18 and 19 of Exhibit 10, were you not? A Yes sir. Q And you located the various points where you had trouble, from these maps, did you not? A yes sir. Q At least the points of difficulty were and are sufficiently stable for you to find where they are on the map, isn't that true? A Knowing the river as I do, yes. Q You stated, as I recall your testimony, that if you had not been operating for a week or so you would have certain members of your crew stand on the front of the boat for certain purposes, is that true? A Yes sir. Q But if you had been operating with regularity, two or three times a week, or every day, you did not have these men stand in that position, or make any special effort to watch the channel or sound going down or coming back; that is true, isn't it? 3174 |
