Show Galloway- C 1077 BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Now let's go to the Colorado for minute. You testified, I believe, to instance observed by you when this big boat of the Moab Garage Company struck sandbars in going from the Shafer well up to Moab? A Yes sir. Q Were you in the room when the other witnesses were testifying about the frequency of sandbars in the upper half of the section of the Colorado between its confluence with the Green and the City of Moab? A Was I in the room? Q Yes. A The only thing I heard said in the room was just when I was sitting here for a few minutes on the latter part of that fellow's statement. Q Would you say from your observation that the impediments occasioned by bars or otherwise to navigation between the Shafer well and Moab, say, were substantially the same, or a little bit worse than on the lower stretches or on the Green river? A Would I say it is worse? Q Yes. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Would you say it is the same, or worse, or better? A I don't believe there is any difference in the condition of the river between the junction and Moab. 3049 |
