Show Galloway- D 1073 not. THE WITNESS: The mouth of Desolation canyon, or the lower end of the Desolation canyon, I believe, is six or eight miles above Greenriver City, Utah, north. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q The lower and? A Yes. Then it is one hundred and fifty miles through Desolation canyon. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Have you ever taken a boat from the mouth of the Green river up to Greenriver, Utah? A From the junction of the Green to the Grand river, you mean? Q Yes. A No sir. Q In your opinion could you do that? A I would hate to tackle it. I guess a man could do it. Q Would it be the same proposition you had on the Colorado, rowing and towing the boat? A It would be the same proposition, as near as I can see, as it is on the Colorado, but it is further; it is one hundred and twenty miles. MR. BLACKMAR: That is all, Mr. Galloway. 3045 |
