Show Galloway- D 1062 How long it would take to take six or eight feet of water away from what you would think a permanent bank, take it away and leave it dry, I don't know how long it would take it to do that; but I have seen the dry places, and the beavers' cache there; I know they wouldn't have the cache there if they hadn't the water. Q Have you ever done any placer mining in and around the Glen canyon country? A Just prospecting; I never have placered in there, because I never found anything I thought would pay; I have done lots of prospecting for placer, and also quartz. Q Extending over about how many years? A Well, 1911, I think it was, the first time I was ever down in that country. Q Then how many times since then? A Twice. Q Twice since then? A Yes sir. Q Did you take your supplies down on the river? One trip we hauled them from Greenriver, hauled our lumber to build our boats with. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Hauled them to where?
