Show Prommel- D 1017 The Cedar mesa wall is to the west of Bluff, and so are the wells, I believe, on the San Juan; yest, they are to the west of Bluff; and the Elk Ridge anticline is to the north- west of Bluff. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: How far from the river? The cedar Mesa well is about four or five miles, I judge, from the San Juan; The San Juan well, on the San Juan anticline, is right on the bank of the San Juan river. The Elk Ridge well is about forty- five miles north of the San Juan river. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Do you know how the equipment for those wells, including the supplies and the men and tools, casing, boilers, and so forth, were taken in? By automobile. And none on the river? No, I don't think so. All of the wells that you have mentioned where were drilled under government permits, were they not? I believe they were. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: This elk ridge apparently appears to be in the La Sal National forest, is that the one? I beg your pardon? There is an Elk ridge appears on the map within the limits of 2989 |
