Show Prommel- D 1015 BY MR. B LACKMAR: Q Do you know the depth to which these wells were drilled? A Yes sir; without looking at the record -- I have the records in my office -- I mus make that approximate. Within about three or four hundred feet; the Frank Shafer well was drilled to a depth of four thousand, nine hundred and seventy feet. The Prommel well was drilled to a depth of three thousand, five hundred feet. The John L. Shafer well is at present at a depth of about three thousand, five hundred feet. The John H. Shafer well was drilled to a depth of five thousand one hundred feet. The A. J. Hazelwood well was drilled to a depth of five hundred feet. Q Now, in point of time can you tell me when the drilling of these various wells was started, that is, the month and the year -- or the year, if you can not recall the month. A The Frank Shafer well was started in the winter of 1984, that is, the moving of the machinery. The well itself was probably started in the early part of 1925. The John L. Shafer well was started during 1926, around in the spring of 1926. The Hazelwood well was started about the same time. The Prommel well I believe was started in 1927. The John L. Shafer well was started, I believe, in 1928. That is the last well drilled. Q What is the cost per foot of drilling a well in that country? 2987 |
