" The Goat-Antelope is exceedingly rare in Nara Ken, and probably everywhere, for this is but the second place where I have heard of its existence. I was told that 5 to 7 are killed yearly in Nara Ken. It inhabits dense forested heights, and when pursued seeks the rockiest and most precipitous places where it can find cover.
