Show (J DR. J. MURIE ON AN AFRICAN ANTELOPE. [Jail. 10, Fig. 1. Front view, skull and horns of Harnier's Sing-sing. I learn from Mr. Gerrard, was originally in the Earl of Derby's menagerie at Knowsley, and afterwards for some years in the Society's Gardens in the Regent's Park. In this stuffed specimen the left horn is injured at the tip, and both horns have a more flattened or horizonal backward direction and almost no forward recurve at the tip, as in the head from Uganda, or even in the allied species K. ellipsiprymnus in the same series. |
