The school studies were discontinued lor for 1/2 a day on Wednesday afternoon and the Primary wOrK was given, then the children dismIssed so they could take the School-wagon home at the usual time. They churned the cream from the cows into butter sell ing what they did not need selling for their own use. Most every home planted an orchard which furnished them with fruit for their needs. Thla This Was was bottled for winter, jams, jellies and preserves were made and apples, apricots and plums were dried |
