Show - 86 arranged that twelve different color effects can be had. It is heated by natural gas, and has two large fans for air circulation and conditioning. There are two nice rest rooms, a concession stand, a checkroom, orchestra room and three different· supply rooms. There is a cement platform in front with a cement walk all around the building. The large 24 feet high neon sign out in front is very colorful and says "AVALON" on it. The stage for the orchestra has a curved ceiling and is beautifully lighted. The building was completed and ready for opening February 23, 1946, with approximately 1100 people attending the opening night. |
