This building was used for 25 years and then the people unitedly de~lded to build a recreation hall on the back with class rooms In basErment, underneath. in the bas6ment, The members of the ward were donating their labor and means and the building was progressing under the able leadership of Bishop Edward Fairbourn In in 1926-27 when some tar which was being heated lor for the ConstructIon construction work exploded and the entire building burned to the ground. How sorry we all were! And what a shock to the were I poor Bishop. Tne Bishop went to see President Grant The and asked him what to do and President Grant said, IIWhy we'll build another IIll ,, and undaunted he called the Ward members around him again and a New Building was started again In 1927-28. This consisted of a lovely Chapel, auditorium, Relief Society room, banquet hall, kitchen, lavatories and class rooms. Ward suppers and dramas etc. were given to help raise money to pay for the building. Much credit must be given to Joseph Parsons, Edward A. Atwood, Alma W. Harrison, George Hyde, Homer W. Jaynes and many others for helping the Bishopric In in their time of need. The people of the ward faithfully supported him. him .
