The addition was made on the south side of the building and consisted of 4 large modern class_ rooms, two large lavatories, a p:"incipafls p:--incipafls office and waiting room, a sick room and a large hall with 4 entrances. The class rooms in the other building were modernized The coal and the entire building painted and refinished. heating furnace was replaced with a gas furnace which made caring for the building much easier for the custodian. By 1957-58 there were 7 teachers employed.
