The Clean SchOOl Committee, with Mr. J. M. Boyden as !i Clean Chairman, submitted to the Board a report on matters they felt : School needed attenti on in the vari rus schools of the District, re- !: Comported that a copy of this report had been sent to each :1 mittee school Principal, pointing out to him matters needing atten- 'i tion in his particular school. Supt. Jensen reported that in order to assist in the Relief Work for the unemployment Situation, all teachers, i; supervisors and office force had authorized the Clerk to deduc~ 'i!fo from their salaries each month, until further notified. i: These funds to be sent to each local community where colleoted:~ The money to be sent to Prine ipals, they to cooperate with I, Teachlocal Relief organizations, that Principals h'ad. expressed a :; ers desire that this money be forwarded to them at once in order : etc. to give immediate relief. Secorrled by Mr. Mickelsen ' and motion carried. Moved by Mr. Burgon and seconded by Dr. Richards that the School Board support the movement and give 2% of their salaries toward the cause. Oarried. Bldg. Supt. Beckstead was authorized to investigate thoroughly the cause for replaCing pipe under buildings at West Jordan and Riverton, in order to ascertain just who is responsible. " mented I A report from Miss Jean Cox, State Supervisor of Home Economics, on course in Adult Education, given in the Bingham District was read before the Board. She reported that a great deal of good had been accomplished through the ccurse. Mr. C. R. Nelson was called before the Board with reference to transportation of students at Crescent and Bluffdale. Stated that at Crescent the students are being transported in high school bus; that it is necessary for children to leave home early in morning and return late afternoons in order for the bus to get back to Jordan High from Draper in time. AlSO necessary for chil dren to walk long distances as there is nO school wagon, then are compelled to stand out in cold waiting for bus • . That at Bluffdale the conditions are Similar, necessary for so.me students to walk over two miles. It was m,oved by Mr. D~l and seconded that Mr. Mickelsen that local transportation be given at Crescent and that a local man be given the position with the understanding that he supply auto transportation commencing January 1st, that in the meantime the high school bus make the loop down through south / Orescent, coming cut at top of Riverton hill near Stay residence.
