A plaque was unveiled on the historic building just west of the main door. Participating in the ceremony were Elder Marion D. Hanks, assistant to the Council of Twelve Apostles, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Robert R. McKay son of David O. McKay, late LDS Church president and a member of the Church Informatioo Committee; Melvin T. Smith, director, Utah Historical Society, and Jay M. Haymond, preservation historian for the SOciety ~ Meanwhile, Dr. Milton C. Abrams, chairman, Governor's Historic and Cultural Sites Review Committee, announced that the Olmstead Power Plant and School in Utah County and the Ogden-Lucin Cutoff Trestle in Box Elder C'ounty have ' been nominated for the National ~g ister of Historic Places.
