Show 12. Pine was the only plentiful wood in the Salt Lake area. r so all the woodwork in the Beehive House was constructed. with pine. It was then painted and grained to siaul.a.te 81ther oak or birdseye maple. Inasmuch as the Beehive House was over one hundred years old, extensi va -repairs were nec_suy inside and out. " A new fi8:gstone terrace and walk, using old flagstones, vas reconstructed around the building. '!be hang1ng gutters and downspouts were replaced. AX\. exterior. ,wood cornice was put on the second story open porch. Solie of the adobes had to be replaced with new masonry. The exterior woodwork was repainted. the stucco scraped, patched and repaired. Roofs and decks were reshlngled, two chilllleys rebuilt and the exterior shutters and hardware duplleated.
