The orginal wall colors, as desertbed by Clarissa Young Spencer, were . authenticated as layers of paint and paper were scraped off the walls)l Because ot the rellOdeling that the Beehive House had uMergone, it was n8Ce88arY to reMOve all the old plaster. As the onginal adobe lI&8onry of the outside walls were uncovered, evideDC. could be seen . designating the early partitions, doorways, and the spiral staircase that was Jlentioned in Clarrisa's JDan1,1SCript.
