Show 265 qualifications reviewed by the Faculty Council's committee on promotions, in accordance with its regulations. Regent Gibson thereupon moved approval seconded by Regent Bowen and carried. Regent Cosgriff arrived. , M. M. Christensen, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, was awarded a Park Scholarship in the amount of $300. 00 for the school year 1952-3 on motion of Regent Bowen seconded by Regent Eccles. - PARK SCHOLARSHIPS APPROVED M. M. CHRISTENSEN On motion of Regent Bowen seconded by Regent Gibson, Miss Opal Christensen, instructor in the Department of Management, was awarded a Park Scholarship in the amount of $200. 00 for the Summer of 1952.. OPAL CHRISTENSEN The following emergency appointments were presented for approval: ‘ EMERGENCY Geraldine Ann Ryberg - Instructor in Health, Physical Education and Recreation - $3, 300.00 annual salary effective July 1, 1952 - replacing Dona May Humphries Philip Weinberg - Instructor in the Department of Electrical Eng'g. beginning; September, 15, 1952 at a salary of $4, 500. 00 for nine months - replacing Morris M. Christensen on leave of absence Dr. G. Ramon Villarreal - Lecturer in Physiology- $1. 00 annually effective July 1, 1952 - research under Kellogg Foundation. President Olpin explained that they had come in too late for presentation to the Faculty Council before coming before the Board, but he assured'the Regents they would be duly presented to the Faculty Council before final clearance.
