Show 51 The request of Miss Katherine Brim, Instructor in the College of Nursing, for leave of absence, without pay from October 1, 1951 to December 15,1951 was approved on motion of Regent Evans, seconded by Regent Bowen. Miss Brim KATHERINE BRIM GRANTED LEAVE OF ABSENCE will visit other colleges of nursing for the National Nursing Accrediting Association. Resignation of Dale A. McAllister, Instructor of Music at Stewart School, effective June 11, 1951, was approved on motion of Regent Gibson, seconded by Regent Bowen. Mr. DALE A. MCALLIS TER RESIGNS McAllister has accepted another position. The following appointment was approved by the Board on motion of Regent Gibson, seconded by Regent Evans: George Q. Rich, Instructor, Health, Physical Education and Recreation, effective September 1, 1951, $3,080 per annum. ‘ GEORGE Q. RICH APPOINTED INSTRUCTOR, HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUE-. CATION AND RECREATION The following letters of commendation were recognized by the Board: A. Letter from J. William Stoner, Illustrious POtentate, El Kalah Temple, expressing appreciation for coopera- tion and assistance of the staff in the promotion of the annual Shrine All-Star games. B. Lucilla Gallyer and Charlotte A. Gallyer, expressing approval of Television Class - Art 120 - taught by Mr. Smedley and Miss Hardman, and hoping that other such courses will be given in the future. C. Letter from John J. Lee referring to the University of LETTERS OF COMMENDATION RECOGNIZED Utah as "the leading university in the whole Rocky Mountain area.
