Show 192 The following report of the Finance Committee was FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT ADOPTED read by Viceachairman Holbrook and on motion of Regent Bamberger seconded by Regent Adam S. Bennion was ap- proved: Board of Regents University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah Ladies and Gentlemen: Your Finance Committee begs leave to report as follows: We have examined the attached list of vouchers totalling $1, 053, 357, 36, as wellas the foregoing certificate of the Secretary of the Board of Regents appended thereto° The said certificate is in satisfactory form, and we recommend that the disbursements made, as so certi- fied, be approved, Dated March 10, 1952 General Fund Restricted Fund Trust Fund $874, 118. 96 178, 815, 40 423, 00 ' Respectfully submitted, 5/ Clarence Bamberger 8/ Ward C. Holbrook Committee on Finance Regent Bamberger raised a question on trips taken by members of the staff and was informed that where faculty members request the privilege of attending in order to parti= cipate in a convention or conference the University limits payment to railroad fare and pullman expense only. In cases where a faculty member is requested by the administration to make a trip in the interests of the University total expenses are allowed, Regent Bamberger called attention to a discussion of fraternities and sororities at the meeting of December 10, 1951, and inquired about the report covering the assignment. Following a suggestion that Deans Austin and Ballif, Deans of Women and Men respectively, appear before the Board at the next meeting for a discussion of this matter, Vice-chairman Holbrook requested the President to proceed accordingly.
