Show Higher Education, for the assistance of President Olpin, Dean Angelman, Dean Taylor and Professor Behle in making the conference program a success. R. Robert Sundwall, Principal Grand County High School, Moab, for the fine speech of Dr. D. Roy Willey on September 3, 1951., A request from Carlos Alexander, Director of the Utah Opera Theatre Workshop, for the use of Kingsbury Hall De- cember 26-29 inclusive for rehearsals and presentation of the opera "Hansel and Gretel" was considered. Following a dis- cussion, it was moved by Regent Adam S. Bennion, seconded by Regent Culp, that the request be denied on the grounds that it is not in keeping with established policy to rent Kingsbury Hall for privately sponsored programs. Some months ago the University of Utah Press pub- lished the original edition of "New Teeth for Old" by Dr. V. H. Sears. Income from sales has more than paid for costs of printing. A new illustrated edition has now been prepared by Dr. Sears and the C. V. Mosby Co. has requested the right to publish it. The transfer of the copyright (which the University holds) without cost, has been recommended by Dr. Harold W. Bentley, Director of the University of Utah Press. REQUEST OF CARLOS ALEXANDER FOR USE OF KINGSBURY HALL DENIED C.V. MOSBY COMPANY GRANTED TRANSFER OF COPYRIGHT TO PUBLISH SEARS' BOOK Regent Bowen moved approval of the recommendation that the copyright be turned over to the Mosby Company for publication of the new edition. Motion was seconded by Regent McShane and carried. On July 21, 1943, Mrs. Etta B. Cowles, wife of former President LeRoy E. Cowles, established a loan fund for use by students majoring in Home Economics. Since there have been no demands for loans from this fund, Mrs. Cowles is re- questing that the funds be used to purchase a painting for the new Home Economics Home Living Center. Regent Cox moved approval of the request which was seconded by Regent Bennion and carried.
