Show Bank In 1891 the Davis County Bank was organized. It was chartered with a capital of $25,000.00 and opened for business April 2, 1892, with Ezra T. Clark as President and Amasa Lyman Clark as Cashier. This bank was located on the north side of State Street east of Main in one room of the F.C.&M. Co. building. The second president was Joseph S. Clark, who served from December 18, 1901. to February 16, 1945. In 1930 the bank business moved to the new building on the northwest corner of the intersection of State and Main. Amasa L. Clark became president April 20,1945, and served until May 25, 1968. He was followed by Ezra T. Clark (grandson of the first president), who took office June ll,1968. and is still in that position. The building wa s newiy remodeled and enlarged in 1960, with the east end of the original building being preserved and still in use as part of the bank. This dental building a t 104 W. 1s t N. was built by Or. R.C. Robinson and used by him in the 1920's for his dental practice. He later practiced at his office in Layton until his retirement in 1966. In the early 1900's Dr. Cha rles Bird did dent a l wo rk in one room of th e Steve nson home at 34 N. Main. farmington . 3. Dr. Dean G. flo yd a nd hi s wife. Lola . came to farmington in 1959. Dr. flo yd provided dental services at 7 L State until he had thi s de ntal building erected a t 122 E. State in 1964. 319 |
